His work is, first and foremost, about people. He is interested in presence, character, and that small distance between how we want to be seen and what the camera discovers.

He studied cinematography at UNATC Bucharest. His background in cinematography naturally informs the way he photographs, through light, space, colour and atmosphere. Sometimes the image is direct and stripped back to its essentials. At other times it becomes constructed, editorial or experimental. He is less interested in perfection than in what gives an image its character.

His work with moving image, editing, colour and sound continues the same visual process.
